Labs
STSe Srl’s headquarters comprises seven main experimental laboratories, each equipped with in-house developed test rigs. Every laboratory is dedicated to a specific measurement approach, while maintaining a highly flexible, multi-lab setup to address customized testing requirements.
The company provides comprehensive measurement services for R&D and general testing of a wide range of automotive and heavy-duty mechatronic components—such as high- and low-pressure liquid and gaseous injectors, after-treatment systems, pumps, and complete fluid systems—as well as for other industries involving fluid dynamics, including chemical, medical, and aeronautical sectors.

A dedicated experimental test rig for hydrogen has been built. Gaseous spray imaging and flow rate measurement can be carried over on components using hydrogen or other gas.
Hot Flow Bench
Experimental test rig for high temperature test on After Treatment Systems. A large variety of measures can be executed at great range of temperature, mass flow rate and dosing, both for DEF and pollutants (NOx).
Flow Bench
Experimental test rig for head engine characterization. Mass flow rate, discharge and swirl coefficients can be measured at various valves lifts.
Spray Morphology, Velocimetry & Sizing
Experimental test rig for spray characterization in terms of geometry (penetration, angles), velocity and particles dimensions. Tests can be executed in various conditions of pressure and temperature.
Endurance
Experimental test rig to characterize components after hours of stress cycles. Tests can be executed on different components or complete systems (wet systems, after treatment system, ecc. ) in customizable conditions regarding temperature, pressure, duration, pulses ecc.
Hydraulics
Experimental test rig for fluid mass flow charaterization in terms of quantity and momentum in a large variety of conditions.
